History
Cordis Mariae School, founded in 2007, was initially a pre-school called Kiddie Care Service. It was part of the Mabuting Pastol Credit Cooperative, which offered credit, savings, and other services.
The school's diversification led to its transformation into a multi-purpose cooperative and re-registration as Mabuting Pastol Multi-purpose Cooperative in 2011. In 2009, the school evolved from a pre-school to an elementary school.
To obtain a government permit, the school needed a registration certificate from the Security Exchange Commission. However, due to the inclusion of education cooperatives in the Philippines' amended cooperative code, it was necessary to register at the Cooperative Development Authority.
In 2010, Cordis Mariae School was organized as a subsidiary cooperative of MPMC, with its own governing board and organizational structure. The school is named after the ICM missionary sisters, led by Sister Simmone Coene, who supported the livelihood and health programs of the Mabuting Pastol Parish.
